President Rodrigo Duterte said he would meet an official of the Malaysian government in his hometown Davao City on Saturday.
The President briefly detailed his meeting with a deputy minister of Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak during his speech in Cotabato City.
He did not mention the name of the Malaysian official.
"Hindi na ako magtagal because the deputy minister...'yung assistant ni Najib (Razak) is in Davao. Kaya pala noh, I remember why Mamao is not here, he is there at the airport waiting for the plane of the premier," Duterte said, referring to Presidential Adviser on Overseas Filipino Workers Abdullah Mamao.
The President did not elaborate the agenda of the meeting.
Sought for details, Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella said he will still have to get further details regarding the matter.
"I will get back to you once I have the information," Abella told GMA News Online over the phone. —ALG, GMA News
